Jill Thomsen is founder and principal of Equal Opportunities Consulting. With a specialized background as an employment attorney, employee relations counselor, mediator, and social worker, she possesses unique expertise in equal opportunity laws, policies, and programs, as well as in early and effective alternative dispute resolution strategies and collaborations.
Jill’s experience from prior roles in private practice, Fortune 500 companies, and national nonprofit organizations has garnered opportunities to share her insights and recommendations with prominent entities, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Office of Management and Budget, U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Association of Corporate Counsel, Center for Workplace Compliance, American Association of Railroads, as well as leading publications such as The New York Times, Engineering News Record, Workforce Diversity Magazine, The Nebraska Law Review, and The National Association of Counsel for Children Law Manual. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law and has earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work from Boston College.
